Booster
pads and regular
pads are two entirely different products. Many customers are unaware of the unique
differences, so we would like to provide you with more information about each
product. Some customers need one of
these products, but the majority of our customers benefit from both. A regular
pad has a waterproof backing on it that does not allow liquid to flow through
it, while a booster pad has no such backing. Wearing a booster pad inside of
your regular underwear without another layer of protection would certainly
result in leakage. However, if you are already wearing protective underwear, a
booster pad offers an added layer of protection.
A booster pad is
an absorbent pad designed to be used inside of your protective
underwear. It provides an extra
layer of protection. If you are using a large quantity of protective
underwear (pull-ups) on a daily basis, a booster pad could help to minimize
the number you use every day, and ultimately, save you money! Booster pads are
worn inside of your protective underwear so your protective underwear will last
longer. When you wear a booster bad inside of your protective underwear, you
have at least an extra 18 ounces of absorbency. When the booster pad becomes
soiled, you can remove it quickly and replace it. Instead of changing your
protective underwear, you would only change your booster pad. HDIS
offers several types of booster
pads to fit your needs. When leaving
your home for an errand, outing, or doctor’s appointment, most of our customers
prefer taking an extra booster pad with them to allow a quick change in any
restroom.
Regular Pads:
A regular pad serves a different purpose. While a booster pad may only come in two to three absorbency levels, a regular pad is offered in light absorbency to ultimate absorbency. A regular pad is intended to be worn inside of your regular under wear. The majority of major brands produce a line of regular pads, while only a handful of brands provide booster pads. There are so many configurations to consider including the shape, length, and scent, that it can become overwhelming to find the right fit.
